I will say we are 50-65% completed with the spawn @ Tville. I caught a nice mess today, lots of short males and a smattering of sub legal 10”> fish. I kept 11 spawned out females, caught offshore in 20-40 feet.
I’ve spoken to a lot of fisherman in the last few days that are having a very hard time finding larger fish. I will attest to a slower than normal bite. Water temps were 65-69 degrees, color was slightly stained.

    * on a side note tested out a marine Bluetooth speaker kit I bought off Amazon. I am guilty of always jamming while fishing. I keep it low and reasonable, but fish do not seem to mind. Anyhoo fun little project, and it allows me to charge my phone, have switches for all my electronics and have a hardwired radio

Thinking about Taylorsville on Thursday. Probably launch at Van Buren. Spider Rigging but not opposed to a single pole. Is it worth the trip or are they done there?

With the weather this stable you can rest assured that they are getting it done any day now. I’d say you’ve missed the peak action but still plenty of fish to be caught. Water temp is in the low 70’s right now, better smoke ‘‘em while you got ‘em.

I can't wait until it's over and the parking lot isn't full. Then I can get back to catching fish deep on timber as the lord intended.

Hey I was just talking about this same topic today, in the spring it’s fellow fisherman clogging the ramp, but after Memorial Day it’s Katie bar the door. Not all fisherman are polite but at least they are quicker launching their boats per capita for what that’s worth.

yeah and most of them stay off the ramp until they're ready to launch. That's what the get ready lane is for.

I just wish boaters would turn their car lights off when on the ramp after dark.
It makes others blinded trying to back down.
    Use your parking lights people!!!

It's been years since I've fished Taylorsville. Is there a launch fee?
