Great day on the home waters. Caught 75 or so crappie, kept the best 15 I saw, had a two/three man limit but I was solo. Once I finally found the fish I really dug in, they were not back in the bays I have been fishing. Found them really tight in cover In 30-40 feet of water, fishing 10-15 feet deep. Pepper dew, midnight/chartreuse Jenko jigs were the ticket today. The wind was a lot more stout than forecasted and when it finally laid down I was able to get in and work. Lots of male fish, and mostly spawned out females. The water was 68 most of the day and has been on that temperature for roughly a month so take that for what you will. Water was iced tea colored and hardly any boats out, very pleasant for this ol boy on a Saturday. Y’all be safe out there, it’ll be a week before I can get her In The water again.

No wonder I struggle, you are catching them all! I finally got the opportunity to get out yesterday for the first time in almost a month. So far this year every time I get a chance its a cold snap, windy, water way up, etc.
I went to Nolin yesterday and water was at the top of the ramp but had a spot I could put the boat on the bank while I parked the truck. I tried fishing in the trees where the water was up, coves, and scanned deeper water structure and couldn’t find fish with SI/ DI on the console. Ended catching a flathead catfish and and small bass.
Congrats!
