Went this morning and probably did what some will say is a crazy set up. I long line trolled 12 poles with Jiffy Jigs and a split shot. That gets me at 10 feet down. Ran two longest poles with Bandits on 6lb test. Guessing they were running about the same 10 feet since I was using such light line. Caught around 30 in 30 feet of water. Kept 10 largest but no trophies. If I had to look at it twice to see if it was legal, I put them back. I got plenty now anyway. Did catch roughly 10 little ones that were 6" or less. Overall it was fun. All but two of the keepers I caught on the Bandits. I think Jiffy Jigs are being stowed until fall.
Pulled the boat out at noon and the wait at the ramp was 30 minutes. Crazy non boating people need to learn how to load and remove a boat.

Thanks. I've been watching some videos and figured out I was way to slow.

This spring,,in 46 degree water,,,cranked and caught limits at a speed in cold water,,1.0 to 1.2. As the water warms so does the, fish movement,,50-60 degree water,,around 1.4 mph average speed...warmer water,,,1.4 to 2.0 as you experiment with speed to see what entices them to react and attack the crankbait. Alsong the same lines,,change colors as water clarity and sunlight mandates. I find I catch bigger fish as I increase speeds also. Granted,,you will still catch the dink’s. Experiment to what suits your needs.
