I’m trying to get on your level big guy. Y’all are always in em. I will say the aid of electronics combined with all the free time I’ve had this spring I’ve learned a lot about the habits of my home lakes crappie.

BCO, did you find eggs in a lot of those fish? I caught a nice limit on Sunday and about half had eggs. I still can't figure out the spawn or lack thereof.
I believe that with all the rain and cold weather, occasionally interrupted with a couple of warm to hot days, most Central Ky lakes are experiencing a very interrupted spawn for the most part. Some have managed to get off a quick spawn, I'm sure, but overall the spawn is a couple of weeks behind schedule. (referring to Green River Lake & Taylorsville Lake, primarily) But, that's just my opinion.
I spoke with the creel survey and they are guessing 70% of the fish in the lake have spawned, that was Friday. I’d have to say I’m inclined to agree just because I’ve fished through all phases of the spawn this year, from late winter transition, to presspawn When they are gorging on shad, the transition from mid depth to the spawning grounds, and now I’m seeing them filter back out. They are really all over the place, and I truly don’t know where I’d be without electronics. I used to just “guess” and fish around til I found a pattern or went home empty handed. Now I’ll scan with DI and SI before I make a decision where I want to fish. Plain and simple if crappie or shad aren’t present I’m not going to stop to fish I keep it moving. Sorry for the long post, I get all jacked up talking about huntin down fish

Almost forget..the ones with eggs are “flat” stomached...one out of 10 females I catch is ripe and fat..most look stressed and ready to relax. Theyve been In Labor for a month for goodness sake!

Sounds logical, as well was weather impact. Whatever is going on, tons of people pulling cranks and jigs and catching the heck out of them. I talked to three different boats on Sunday that were well on their way to multiple limits.
Am I to assume that we are talking about Taylorsville Lake
