    Default Rough River Lake

Never been to Rough but heard its good for numbers. I just wanna try something new and don't care how big they are. Won't even keep much unless 11". Anybody been to Rough lately? Saw where it's at least around summer pool. Will be coming from Smiths Grove area where's best place to put in? Thanks for the info!

I fish there often. I would agree with the comment you made regarding fishing at the lake. It seems like lately the numbers have been really good, but the size is not as good as it’s been in the past. My experience has been that when the lake is above its pool, and they’re pulling it hard, The fish become a little tough to catch. Good luck.
I look forward to hearing about your success!

I fish Rough a bunch. Fished it today, caught a good mess of fish. You can expect to catch a lot of fish when the water is stable. They will vary in size. There are a lot of 10" fish but I usually bring home a couple over a lb. And several in the 3/4 lb range. My personal best 7 fish was 7.76 lbs. Biggest fish I've caught here is 1.56 lbs. Good luck, this time of year it's pretty quiet too.

I fished rough today and the crappie bite was a little tough for me. I usually do pretty good but I don't know why the crappie was so scattered and not close to cover like they used to.

I went today and had a pretty good day for not knowing anything about the lake at all. Was really windy but managed 14 keepers all over 10" and probably caught 60 fish. Found brush in 10-15' and fish were scattered around it. Trying out new Livesope and its amazing! They had shut off the water so I guess i lucked out there. Will definitely go back its a fun lake to fish and seems like a lot of crappie in it! Lost two gooduns at the boat and if I'd kept all 9" would have easily gotten my limit. Good to get out for sure!

I've never been to this lake either but was wanting to try it out. I just had motor work done on my boat and need to check it out too. Where did you end up putting in at and was there much debris floating. I need to check this repair work from idle to WOT for the amount it cost!

I put in at state park off of 79. No debris floating at all I saw. They had quit pulling lake but it was pretty stained. Still found a few brush piles in 10-15 ft they all had fish in them but pretty stubborn until after noon they started biting pretty good.

Do you think the livescope play a role in helping you put fish in the boat? I'm planning to order one tomorrow.
