Nice mess!! Very thick fish it seems.
Had an awesome day on Dale Hollow today. Started fishing about 8:30am and when I quit about 3pm I had caught 52 keepersize crappie, a 4 lb largemouth, and a half dozen big bluegill. Found fish today 14-15 ft deep in 16-19 FOW. Didn't have any monsters, but most all the fish were 11 to 13 inches long and, as it is with most DH crappie, very thick. Dale Hollow crappie remind me of the big Florida crappie with the way they fight. Caught three black nose crappie in the mix today as well. All the crappie were caught Spider-Rigging with double minnow rigs. Tried a variety of jigs but couldn't get a bite. It was 33 degrees and cloudy when I started and warmed to a "heat-wave" of 40 degrees by the time I quit. Only saw one other boat all day long. It was my kind of day. I tried to get a decent pic of the 15 I kept, but it was made in the dark while my fish were still in the livewell.
