Easier to land a fish between the rods. Easier to figure how much line is added to the amount you have out to figure depth the crank is running as you figure where line goes into the water and not from tip of the rod. For me, it’s also easier to watch all the tips at the same level dancing with the wiggle of the crankbait as there are times when the tip will quit dancing if it has a dink crappie on it or weeds/trash. I keep the rod tips as close to water as possible.
