Atta boy, Jman .... persistence pays off !! Looks like you got a few pretty good sized fish !!
Don't feel bad, though ... Paul and I only put 6 fish in the Fling pile.
First off I want to thank crappiepappy, Holmes bend marina, and all the sponsors and volunteers that helped make the spring fling such a special and fun event.
Fishing this weekend was challenging for me. Didn’t do well Saturday morning or evening. Sunday morning was more of the same. Then Sunday evening the bite turned on! Ended up catching 10 over 10 inches that I kept in about a 2 hour span fishing with my girlfriend. We found fish in 20-30 f.o.w. suspended between 10-18 ft. Caught casting minnows on a 1/8 orange jig head.

I did try fishing there and managed 1 keeper and 4-5 shorts. Didn’t really have much luck Sunday morning. Came back to the marina for lunch around 2 and bought a map of the lake. Went south towards the dam and fished a creek across from a big ramp that had a lot of brush dropped in it. That’s where I caught most of them. Thanks again for the help!
