Default Fishing Creek on Lake Cumberland

Fishing Creek is one of my favorites places on Lake Cumberland! The fact that I live on it may have something to do with that. The view from my house looks out on Needle Point. (I am a blessed fisherman.) This week I have made two late afternoon excursions out on the creek, resulting in two nice limits of slabs. Monday I caught 37 total. Yesterday, I caught 31 but the quality was better. All fish yesterday were caught with the old fashioned slip cork and minnow, 6ft deep. Monday I caught a few spiderrigging with jigs tipped with minnows, but most were caught single poling jigs 7 to 10ft deep.
