    Tips, topics, ect. All things Taylorsville lake...

    That being said I heard they just started releasing water last Thursday.

    It's still over 19' up, as of today, and falling about 1.5' a day.
    So it's going to be a while, even if we don't get any more rain, which we are.

    go to facebook and look up SNA KRAPPIE MASTERS you'll find out about catching them. They've been doing real good

    You're bound to find some useful info in those threads.

    Other than that :

    Slow falling water doesn't seem to be all that bad, but fast falling water will shut them off pretty good.
    I use weedless jigs when fishing the wood at Taylorsville ... standing timber or fallen timber, and brushpiles.
    I use marabou Road Runners a lot for shallow fish, as long as I can avoid wood cover. If wood cover is present, I fish over or beside it.
    I target banks with shade in the early morning (post spawn period).
    I've caught most of my Crappie at Taylorsville less than 15ft deep, regardless of season.
