Bad News. Just got skunked for the 1st time all year. Tried diff spots from 8ft to 16ft with no luck. Water temp is 76-78 and pretty clear.

Sinkermaker and I were out this past Monday. Fished about 4-1/2 hours till the skies got ugly. I’d say we fished maybe ten beds an none of which really even close to mediocre. Took anywhere from 0 to 6 fish off beds that ranged anywhere from 15 to just over 20’. Used jigs with no luck, they’d hit the minnows if you kept it moving. Talked to bad Brad and he had the same success on his outing. We kept 7, thru back maybe 5. I don’t believe the lake is turning over, water’s too clear and no ammonia smell. It’s slow but the thump felt as good as ever.

Looked at the last lake temp posting on 9/17. There was only 6 degrees difference from surface to 45 . I'd say that by now the water temps are closer to being the same top to bottom. My friend that went Mon. said he marked fish from surface to 40' deep, also said he could see leaves and debris suspended in the water around 5' deep. I'd guess it's in some stage of turnover.

Remember, guys ..... the whole lake doesn't necessarily "turn over" -- and even when turnover occurs, it may occur in different parts of the lake at different times.

Here's the temp/O2 chart from the COE (readings taken at dam) from 10/2/18:
