Three to four years ago I would have said Kentucky lake, no questions. Having not made spring or fall trips in that many years, I'd have to go with Barkley based on the overall reports.

Just like the title asks, which lake might be the better choice for an upcoming trip? I plan on going in two weeks and could make either lake, so what do you guys/gals think? Would try pulling cranks for starters, but wouldn't hesitate to resort to minnows if that's what it took. Thanks for any input.

2 weeks?? That's just about Ky. Lake Shindig time, you're welcome to join us. Oct. 12 and 13 let us know if you need any info on it, there's already plenty on here but sometimes there's still questions

We went to KY lake last fall and caught a bunch of fish.

Fishing has been really tough this year, best luck I've had lately is using minnows
Wannabe, I would have liked to make the Shindig but my time off doesn't coincide with it. I get 5 days off every other week and they seldom fall on the days that events that I am interested do. I missed Spring Fling, now the Shindig, and the upcoming Knob Creek machine gun shoot. I keep telling myself "someday I will retire".
