Check out the KOA my parents have spent 20 years down there with a trailer and then upgraded to a park model. Crappie fishing is good in the winter.
They have covered boat storage also
We are thinking of spending the months of January through March in or near Okeechobee Fla. What are the do's and don'ts from your experiences? Do we buy or rent? Pull a boat or buy one and leave there?

W'eve fished Florida the last two winters for 2 weeks each time, the farther south you go, the warmer it will stay, but the shallower the lakes are in general, oh and the air boats drove us crazy!!! imagine a crop dusting airplane buzzing around you ALL DAY. Thats what air boats are like. We are fishing in North Florida this year, and plan to stay 3 months.

We have fished Florida for the 12 th year this winter. We stay farther north at Lake Kissimmee near Lake wales and stay at Camp Mack Florida. We drive our Motor Home and pull our boat, wife follows with the car. Catch all the crappie you like and lots of lakes to fish all the way back to Topo.
Camp Mack has all the right stuff, ramp, marina, cleaning stations, baits. Cabins can also be rented.lots of friendly fishermen to help out
