Default Green river near central city

Has anyone fished the section of the green river near central city or drakesboro Kentucky? I will be in that area for Easter and am going to try to fish. If anyone has any advice or info on the area please let me know.

    Thanks

    Jesse

All I can tell you is that the Green River Lake dam is only running at ~800cfs today ... after being run at 2000-4000+cfs over most of the last couple of weeks. That heavy discharge rate has likely kept the fish hiding in low current areas, so they may still be somewhat stacked up in those areas. That's where I'd start looking.
According to the Green River Lake Report ... tailwater discharge temp is 50deg. .... so it may be a tad bit warmer downstream if it's getting more sunlight than we are up here in Central KY. That's warm enough for them to start thinking about moving towards the spawning banks.

Luck2ya, buddy ... and have a good Easter trip !!

The green is too thick to navigate and too thin to plow upstream in Edmonson county, probably same where you are going. Peabody is close though.

You're are probably not too far away from Lake Malone. It might be your easiest and best option.
