    Default Lake Cumberland

What is the status of the crappie spawn? And is the lake still way up? I planning on making a trip toward the end of the week. I was just wandering what people were catching.
    Thanks ahead of time.

Tried Cumberland today. Caught 4 kept 3 - 11-11.5" crappie. Water temp 50-51 degrees. They seem to have moved out...did not mark as many on the sonar. Warmer temps this week may help but more clouds, wind & rain in the forecast...not sure how that will impact water temps.

Always good trip when your kids are along. Fishing will get better with some stable warmer weather. Good fishing!

I hadn’t been to Cumberland and new it would be muddy, but I left the boat in the garage and took a couple dozen minnows, and drove to lake Cumberland where Laurel river lake empties into Cumberland, the water had the parking lot covered, I fished from the bank, never got a bite, there were 4 boats in the area, see a guy trolling in a bass boat catch one keeper crappie, a guy tied up a pontoon about 50 feet from the shore, he said his fish finder was showing lots of fish, he said he was there on Monday and kept 5 good ones, I asked him how deep he was marking the fish, he said they were holding the bottom in 22 feet of water and said the water temp was 62 degrees, the water wasn’t as muddy as I thought it would be, it was muddy but around the shore I could see about a foot deep,
