    I find it astonishing to read such stories, warmer weather does not mean warmer water, in his case, he had about 10-to 15 minutes before severe hypothermia would set in, causing the body to not function at all. Never take the risk this time of year!! Prayers to his family.

    The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency is reporting a Puryear man drowned in Kentucky Lake Wednesday. 40-year old Christopher Haller was kayaking on the lake in Stewart County when it reportedly turned over. Stewart County Fire Rescue, EMS and the Sheriff's Department along with the US Forest Service from LBL and TWRA responded to Gray's Landing around 3:30pm. Haller was transported to Henry County Medical Center, where he later died. He was not wearing a life jacket, and the water temperature was 41 degrees.

    Prayers for the family and 1st responders.

    I wear my inflatable any time the Suzuki is going to be running above idle. I place a PFD out on the seats for every client I'm going to have that day in my boat. I would guess almost 1/2 will either sit on it or hold it. When they ask if they HAVE to wear it, I tell them I'd rather they did but as adults they can decide for themselves. Kids have zero options. They will wear theirs.
