Amen. Prayers for all involved. I just can't understand this madness. I graduated MCHS and this type of violence was not even thought of. We had gun racks in our trucks and carried guns to go hunting after school. No one thought a thing about it, but times are definitely different now.
If you were on trial for being a Christian would there be enough evidence to convict you??

My son-in-law's step nephew was shot in the face. The bullet went thru his neck and lodged at the back of his skull near the spine. The bullet clipped and cut an artery going to his brain. He was flown to Nashville where they are very worried about him having a stroke. There are 2 arteries going to the brain and one is fine and feeding blood to his brain but stroke is still a huge concern. IMO it's amazing how skillful the EMTs and medical personnel were to keep him alive. The family is asking for all prayers.

It's all very hard for us to believe all of this, but I'm going to go out on a limb that this kid was bullied in some form or fashion.
We growing up all knew of kids being bullied, shoved in lockers, shoved in the hallways, and ridiculed in public at school.
Having now 4 kids go thru high school in the past 10 years, kids are meaner now than they ever have been before.
Victims are bullied 24/7 now, both in public and thru social media. They can never get a break from the torture, embarrassment, and it's a very sad but true reality.
So, in retrospect our youngest daughter is 14, and a freshman. She is an athlete, A student, and just happens to be skinny as a rail, is 5'1" and weighs less than 90lbs. And is knockout! She is made fun of, ridiculed, and called a "twig". To a teenage girl, that can be very hurtful. Some of you know the history that my daughters have gone thru over the past 4.5 years, so this only complicates things in such a young females mind.

I am not defending this teenagers actions in no way, shape or form. But we can not as a society sit back and ask why this happened. We potentially know why it happened, happens everyday, but yet everyone is turning a blind eye to the problem.

God speed to the two young lives lost today. May God's grace be with the injured, and with all of the families.

It's been a very sad day indeed. Having two children in school just one county away has had me thinking about them all day.
