Thanks bandchaser is there any certain colors I should buy.also is there a chart that you can look at that will tell you how far back to run the crankbaits.and what speed to run them to reach certain deeps thanks for the help.
Nobody at this time stocks the Pico's, but Bandits and Arkies and even Bombers are still very high on their diet! Trust me, I know first hand but I haven't been posting it!

The arkies run a foot or so shallower than the bandit chart and the Pico's run a foot or so deeper

Start out with different colors in major color families and let the fish tell you what they want. A good starting point for a six rod spread would be to have six different lures where each one is primarily chartreuse, red, black, pink, orange and a shad-like imitation. Once you get dialed in on what they want to eat and notice a pattern, you can transition less-productive baits that aren't getting eaten to colors similar to what they're hitting on. So if I'm catching fish primarily on orange and chartreuse cranks on a particularity day and getting nada on the darker colors, I'm going to mix up my spread and run six variations of chartreuse and orange crankbait patterns. Conversely if that black or darker color lure is getting hit, I will transition to darker hues like variations of black, dark brown or red craw patterns, etc.
After pulling cranks for the last ten years I've found this is a good way to approach a new body of water and be able to adjust to local conditions. Put out a nice spread, let the fish tell you what they want, then vary your spread to adapt to their preference.
Depending on where you're staying at on the lake, I think that Fast Eddie's Bait & Tackle on US68 in Benton has one of the better selection of crankbaits in the area. PICOs are available by mail direct from the manufacturer and Mitch takes great care of his customers. There's an Academy in Paducah 30 minutes west of the lakes on I-24, exit 4 if you feel like you need to go to a larger sporting goods store. Welcome to town and best of luck to you out there.
