Went back Today and found the fish oretty much where I left them last weekend. Still deep. Caught about as many as last time but not really much size. Had 8 keepers this time with only a couple at 12". I looked around some for the right kind of structure but only found about 5 or 6 places that looked right. i need more spots.

Nice mess of fish and a good meal
That's enough for a mess. I've always thought Cumberland was tough most of the time. Seems like you can only find fish good every third or fourth trip.

nice ones
You are right about spots and good spots are pretty hard to come by since the water came back up. Or at least for me anyway..We went Friday and Saturday had 19 keepers Friday and 25 keepers Saturday. Got them in 8 to 40 fow depend on what part of the lake you are fishing.

19 & 25 is a great Sept day on C-land IMO. I'm pretty new to this and come from a bass fishing background but find myself wanting to crappie fish more an more. I just don't have the history on the lake looking for crappie as I do looking for bass but there is definitely something very satisfying about looking around blind and graphing a tree loaded with crappie and then putting several in the boat. The good news is that I found a few more spots this last trip than I had the first trip so I keep adding to the list. With the fluctuations on Cland each year you have to have lots of different kinds of spots because what I'm finding now is good because its in 28-35' of water. At full pool, it would be in close to 60 and pretty much useless.

I've always said if you can catch consistently on Cumberland you can catch fish anywhere
Deep clear oxygen rich water allows fish tphold at depths unimaginable in other parts of the country
Stripers are 90 ft deep now and will go to 100-110 next month
Finding crappie 2 days in a row is an accomplished
I fish several different places and hardly ever fish the same creek or part of the lake 2 days in a row.....
