I have three of them and have only been able to get them to 50% discharged once after a very long day.

I found a really good deal on brand new Trojan T1275 golf cart batteries. There should be no more excuses now since I have upgraded every battery on my boat! Them cart batteries will make you grunt when you pick it up! But they are installed and on charge! Watch out now feeshes, it's game on!

9+ hours of almost continuous running on my RipTide ST 112 pound thrust before I felt a noticeable drop in charge. I've never ran mine completely down. My Excel is as heavy as most 20 foot glitter boats. I have a MinnKota 345 charger on mine that stays plugged up all the time the boat is in my garage.

Shooot .... my series 29 Everstart TM battery makes me pucker when I lift it, and it only weighs 60lbs. Problem is, I live in an apt complex, so I have to remove the batteries and put them in the truck, then carry them up the stairs to my 2nd floor apt and into the bedroom where the onboard charger sits (unless I'm on a trip & the charger is in the boat). I do have a little dolly cart that I can wheel the battery around on, but it's useless on the stairs.
If I had golf cart batteries (@ 85lbs ea) ... I'd have to hire someone to come and put them in & take them out and carry them up the stairs (I scratch & bruise my hand/arm about every time I put/take my TM battery, because of the narrow opening and the recessed position of the battery tray)
Looks like you are back in the game, BC !! Now, get out there after'em and post up your reports & pics !!
Pappy I've met you. You can't weigh more n 60 pounds soakin weight.

Years ago I was in on a duck lease at Jones Mill,TN. We were lucky enough to be able to get a 4 wheeler to the blind. As my hunting buddies and I kept bringing more and more crap that needed 12 volts, we started quite a collection of deep cycle batteries. It finally came to 14 devices running off 9 12 volt trolling motor batteries. The blind was a 24 foot former cotton wagon. We decided that was a case of over-kill since the ducks were only going to die if they flew over, saw several hundreds of yards of wires strung all over that corn field, and died of laughing themselves to death.
