Default Providing shelter, cover and safety to the homeless

With my boat in the hospital, it was time to start giving back. So, I took a few hours this early morning to begin building for the future! Name: 20170719_095315.jpg

I put some I made out 5 yrs ago or so . I used concrete cinder blocks full of quickcrete and cane. They have made a difference at times on reelfoot. I made some to lay down in 3-4 ft water and have caught bluegill like a mad man at times in them.

I am planning to put 3 per location. This will allow two man 2 polling and spider rigging over each bed location.
Also, will be aligning these with the more dominant wind directions.

Jordonjones. On the materials, Don't know where he got his, but if you can find a farmer that raised tobacco and has a pile of tobacco sticks still in a barn somewhere, (used to spear and hang tobacco) these would be perfect. They are always a hardwood and will last a long time in the water. I used to do the same thing with attractors. Get some empty planters, about 6-8 sticks, drive a long nail through the bottom of the sticks to put in the container/concrete to made sure they stay in the pot/concrete and attach a ring eye to the top of the middle stake so I could run a small cord through this one to drop/lower the stake bed in place, then pull the rope through when it was on bottom. My hope was that it would be standing up after this but it didn't always happen. After checking with my electronics, about 65% stood up, the others fell over. Just depends if you hit a flat bottom when making the drop. They work great until the 'others' find them.
