    Default Night fishing tips

Gonna head out tonight with my wife and kids to do a little fishing with a submersible light. Plan on finding some fish before dark with some cover/ brush. Fishing double jigs and minnows. Any tips u you've found along the way would be appreciated.

Only thing I can think of to recommend is : find the thermocline depth in that area, then find brush/trees that rise above that depth, and don't put your minners below the thermocline depth. Good electronics will show you the thermocline ... usually as a fuzzy line across your screen.

Put your baits just a little outside the light ring
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

Probably too late with my response but here goes......Take some jugs and let them soak while you are crappie fishing. The catfish should be biting and there isn't more fun than chasing a jug across the lake at night.
