The bad...
Since I post good trips, i need to post about bad trips too.lol. A friend of mine came down with his son yesterday and we fished for gills and ears all day. Fished from 10-5, long day AND Windy!!
The water was only 63.8 at 10am but was showing 65.0 at 3pm. Boy the fishing was bad. We kept 10 mediocre bluegill and one average redear. I saw no bedding activities to speak of and the water temperature had really dropped since Thursday.
I guess things will pickup this week with the full moon and warmer temps...it's been a Tough bite for this ole boy...I forgot to mention, I broke a $100 St Croix panfish spinning rod when we were riding in high seas lol and a dock grab style pole I keep on the boat flew out of the boat. It floats and I was able to retrieve it.

I was wondering how it was going. Two weeks ago the water was high and the bluegill were showing signs of moving up on the beds. Last week the water was way down and I couldn't find the bluegill at all. I hope it stabilizes this week so I can get into them.

I'm going to be there tomorrow. I'm hoping the warmer weather and sunshine has a positive effect on the gill fishing.
