There are a lot of dead silvers in the Dam area, that's for sure.
I read there was a huge carp die off on KY lake. The article stated they are floating around the dam area is huge numbers. Is there anything to this article. The article stated that no other species of fish seems to be affected at this time.

Dead and dying silvers all over the lake. Saw some huge dead bigheads today but I think they died from arrow penetration.

The Kentucky Afield show addressed it. They're not sure what has happened but seemed to welcome it.

They are dying off and while they are dying they are going nuts. Swimming around in circles, running themselves up in the banks, digging around in the mud like they can't see where they are going. Someone said it is some sort of bacteria I believe. What concerns me is how they are running around on the banks. I can't help but wonder if they will mess up bluegill and redear beds.

I agree with the above concern. Today, I counted around 20 of the silver carp swimming in circles and beaching themselves on a big area known for bluegill and redear beds. I'm wondering if the panfish will be intimidated to nest in their traditional areas because of these cruising, dying fish. It's creepy to be honest, especially when you see dozens of them just dying at the top of the water.
Me thinks KFWD is experimenting with biochemical warfare on surface filtering fishes ...
I hope so anyway ...

there was a kill off on the illinois river I believe last fall and it was for a 5 mile stretch. I havent heard any more about it since. they were silvers and bighead.
RE: Filtering Fishes
Hope whatever is affecting them doesn't mess up the spoonbills.
