Thumbs up First trip of the year for me ....

Taylorsville 10AM - 1PM had a limit (9.5-13") stayed til 4PM & caught and released another limit of keepers. Most were males in their tuxedos, but the one 13" fish was a female Black Crappie loaded up with eggs.

Most fish caught in 3-5fow ... pink Roadrunner.

Water temps ranged from 59-64deg - water is dirty but clearing up.

Hard to find a bank where it wasn't whitecapping ... but I hung in there & prevailed. Caught most of my fish behind 3 or 4 other boats that had just gone down the same bank !!

I'm pooped ... and I haven't even started cleaning fish

(no pics taken ... too busy fighting the wind)

Was there yesterday. Did not have that much success. Tried spider rigging, threw jigs, fish we caught were in 12 to 15 ' deep in 20 to 30 ' of water. Man was the lake packed. Nearly an hour getting boat on the trailer. Will give it another try mid week. Water color at Possum Ridge very very stained.

    Thanks, guys !!

I think the word is out on Taylorsville .... I talked to one guy that said he'd heard that Taylorsville was "on fire", but he was catching a bunch of 9-10" males & not many of the big sows like last year, same as I was

Oh, and did I mention ... I got the next to the last open parking space at Settlers, at 10AM on a MONDAY !!
Had I got there 15mins later, I'd have had to go around to Possum Ridge and see if there were any spots left over there

Yes sir been there and done that. Just being on the water doesn't mean you will get fish. Same thing when one person in the boat catches all the fish. What your using and how your using it
means a lot. Things like jig color, jig head size ,swivel no swivel ,line weight ,presentation, depth before retrieving, crank speed, bad odors on jig, using a fish attractant , teasing skills and
much more will often be the difference between fish and no fish. Happened last year in an area there, two boats drifted right through spawn area casting away and we stopped. We limited out in about 45 minutes
and they looked on wondering what jut happened. Thats why crowds really dont mean as much as people think other than pressure ( often over rated ) and ramp clogging.
