1st injection into my spine had zero effect as far as relief from pain. I have a 2nd shot Friday--not sure what is different about it. Dr did tell me if this shot doesn't work, he is sending me to a surgeon. I might go and get an opinion but I'm going to be down before I let them cut on my back. As long as I can semi manage the pain, I won't consider surgery. I did flush the balance of one of my pain meds down the toilet (big no-no I find out later). It was causing way more problems than it was helping. I experimented with some meds I've used for neck/shoulder pain and have felt better than any time since my surgery. By the way, I'm using less than 25% of the meds they originally had me on and I'm much more functional. The leg numbness is always there as well as a big part of the pain but it is now manageable enough For me to work a few hours at a time in the shop.

I'm headed to the lake for the 1st time since December as soon as I get out of PT this morning.I may not stay all day but I've got to make sure the boat is OK and try out a couple of spots pushing jigs and cranks---power trolling. The sun is shining and I've got to get out to just prove to myself that I still care.

    Thanks for asking, Brian.
