Default Green River or Rough River water color

Going to get out tomorrow, does anyone know the water color of either lake? Debating on which to go to. I'll most likely launch at Holmes Bend or Axtel but will make run to find good water. Thanks in advance

Just looking at the COE water level website ... I'd say Green, just because the water level has been stable all month long ... whereas Rough has been falling over the last couple of weeks. But, I've never fished Rough enough to know if that's a deal breaker.

COE website : Louisville District Daily Lake Report

Click on the blue "todays pool feet" numbers to get a chart showing the water level changes over the last year.
Click on the lake name and then on "water temp" link to see water temps at various depths and dissolved oxygen levels at those depths. BUT ... those readings are not started until a thermocline sets in, so check the dates on the page to be sure they are recent readings if/when you look at that page. Also, understand that the readings are taken at the dams, so there could be differences in other parts of the lake.

Back on Feb 12th a member reported seeing water temps of 54deg and none lower than 46deg. Facebook pics showed water to be pretty much the normal green coloration of Green River Lake. Fishing reports are showing good size & numbers being caught at Green.
