    Default Taylorsville or Herrington Advice

Plan on going to Taylorsville or Herrington on Sunday to do a little crappie fishin'..

    Which would be better?

Anyone have any tips or advice for either?

Where to put in, depth to fish, etc.

    Any advice greatly appreciated..

    Thanks guys and good fishin'..

If I were choosing between the two of them, I'd pick Taylorsville (even though I grew up Crappie fishing on Herrington).

I'd launch at Settler's Trace Marina.

I'd fish around any blowdowns I could find, starting shallow & close to the trunk and work my way down to the 15-18' depths. I'd be casting a 1/16oz weedless jighead with a blu/char tube (for deep fish) and a pink marabou 1/16oz Roadrunner for fish suspended above the tree top limbs.

In other words ... I'd fish the same way I normally fish, Spring to Fall
