    Default eddy creek

I had a planed trip to eddy creek with my son who is in the air force. We were staying a week in April I reserved a room and paid $100 deposit. My son called last week and said he was not getting leave he was being deployed. I called the place we were staying and explained what happened and canceled. I told them we would reschedule when he got leave. I received my refund yesterday for $80. So I will not be staying at this place when we come. I will looking for a place that is veteran friendly. I have heard that some places offer a discount to veterans who stay. If you know of one please let me know. I have 2 sons in military one has been deployed twice and now this one. I will support those who support them. GOD BLESS THE USA AND OUR TROOPS.

There are a few different resorts on Eddy Creek. Do you mind telling us which one did that?

I'm from Bowling Green and not sure where Eddie Creek is located. When I stay over night, I always stay at Fin N Feather. They take my credit card over the phone to hold the room but never take money until I'm ready to check-out. When I asked about how and why they do it this way I was told they ask for the card # to hold the room. They also told me they have no charge for stormy weather if I'd call ahead and let them know I wasn't coming. I've been using them twice a year for six years. I'd highly recommend giving them a shot. Very clean two double beds, microwave, coffee pot, range, fridge, showers, fish cleaning station, outlets for battery chargers. Hope this helps.

If Kentucky lake is an option for you Whispering Oaks is a great choice. Cleanest cabins I have ever stayed in anywhere. The couple that runs the place are very nice and helpful towards their guests. They also have their own boat ramp and slips with electric you can rent. Makes it very convenient.

I don't think I am allowed to mention names in post. But it is the main marina.

You are correct, my friend ... site rules dictate that you - "Do not post any potentially slanderous comments about any Public or Private Companies, Organizations, Corporations or Individuals."

Since you merely expressed your displeasure with the experience, and did not name the entity, your remarks were not in violation of site rules IMHO.

Sorry for your great disappointment. Thank you for bringing up patriots who serve and protect us. Hope he has a safe deployment and returns to share your boat soon.

I look forward to his return also. He was at the spring fling with me 2 years ago. The other one was with us last year. One is currently in Alaska the other in Colorado. Our fishing time is very limited so I cherish it greatly. But I am very proud of the great sacrifices they make so that we have the freedom to fish and live as we choose.
