Dux will have his boat for trolling/long lining hands on (and I can use his electronics for other questions) ...

You guys discuss and determine if you want time designated seminars or walk up and ask questions during regular festivities ...

(FWIW... I have found thru past experience giving seminars that people are more willing to ask questions one on one or in small groups just standing around talking) ...

Thought you guys did seminars off white boards, inside ?? That's partly why Chucky rented the conference room ( & in case of inclement weather) under the Suites building.

In the past, there's always been a hour or two after the fishing is done & while the fish are being cleaned & then cooked, where we just sit around and shoot the breeze until the food's ready. That time could be spent on one or both seminars & Q&A time, and if one is all that gets done then the other could be done following the door prize giveaway. We have the conference room until 11PM Sat night, so it's not like we're going to be in any great rush to get through the proceedings.

Now, there are some that will have to leave early, for one reason or another, but that's normal ... and we're hoping that with the seminars we may have more attending than our normal 40+ people. But, just so we're clear on this ... seminars or not, ya'll are welcome to come and join in on the fishing/eating/camaraderie/door prizes giveaway and we'd love to have you guys/gals.

White board seminar is fine with me ... It actually helps me give visualization to the topics I discuss ...

I can also do "one on one" questions before, during and after regular festivities ...

I've seen Dux use white board also...but he gives better demonstration next to his boat (if that's possible with the current Fling proceedings) ...

My only concern is parking space around the Suites ... so, if it's inadequate, and Doug still wants to do his seminar "boatside", he may have to do it in the regular parking area down at the ramp.

We still have 11 weeks to iron out any procedures & concerns ... so we'll keep the discussion going until we get the timeline set for all the events taking place.

Dux and I usually book a 2 bed accommodation on excursions ...

Where would you guys recommend for 1 night (Friday night) where his boat will be safe ...??

We don't expect 5 star but at least a shower and 2 beds ...

Aren't you guys planning on staying Sat night, too ??

Holmes Bend Marina & Resort has 2 and 3 bedroom cabins, and their new Suites bldg has one room/2 Queen bed units. If you keep the boat on the trailer, you can park next to the cabins (not sure about boat parking at the Suites). But, Holmes Bend Marina has covered slips for rent, also.

To anyone riding the fence about going, I've seen both Rickie and Doug give their thoughts at these seminars and you'll grow a bit by listening to each. I've personally had Chaunc an Doug, graciously had me my butt the very first time we tournament fished. They're humble but sneaky good. On the other hand, Rickie's wisdom on electronics is mind blowing. I've personally called him by phone while on the lake when I couldn't figure out all the buttons on my new humminbird while out on the lake, and he was able to talk me thru. If you've never met Rickie, he'll be the one with the thermos under his arm.
