That would be great I'd love to see your pulling seminar.

If we can lock down a date I'd love to make a trip back to my old stomping grounds and see if my numbers still hold fish.

Not to discourage anyone, but normally this is a one day event ... where we fish from daylight to about 2PM and then prepare the fish - cook'em & eat'em - give away the door prizes - clean up the area ... and we're done (usually around an hour before sunset). Some of us that come from a distance will rent a cabin from Fri-Sun ... but most just show up that Sat morning & head home when the festivities are done.
Right now (but not written in stone) I'm looking at April 15th ... since it's the only Sat in April that doesn't have a CUSA tourney going on at any lakes in the state, and we have several contributing members that fish the CUSA circuit. And yes, I know it's the first day of Spring Turkey season ... but, that can't be helped.
And, once we've set the date & begun the proceedings of getting things together, the only reason we would cancel would be "dangerous conditions" (thunderstorms, or a flooded lake). That's my call, and I usually make the call by the Thur. before.

Rickie ... we rent the COE picnic shelter at Holmes Bend Marina. Chucky, & me and my partners rent a 3br cabin at Holmes Bend Marina, and boat slips at the dock for our Fri-Sun stay.
Now, Holmes Bend does have what they call Kamper Kabins, up the road about a mile, that are 1 room deals (basically sleeping quarters only). And they've just completed a new lodge w/1br suites. Holmes Bend Boat Dock - Houseboating on Green River Lake in Kentucky Houseboats
There is a campground just up the road, but it's not owned/run by the Holmes Bend Marina people ... and I don't know when they open for business.
About 10mi down the road from Holmes Bend Marina is Columbia, Ky ... and they have a motel called Dreamland Motel that is fairly cheap, and of course the Best Western Motel. (Chucky & I have stayed in both places before)
On the opposite end of the lake from Holmes Bend, there are some other marina's that have lodging, and the state park campground. Google Maps will give you a good overview of the lake and locations of those places.
There are two places to get minnows, that are close to Holmes Bend ... and the marina sells them, too. Green River Bait & Grocery at the corner of West Egypt Rd and Knifely Rd --- and Patterson's Bait & Grocery at the corner of Knifely Rd & Elkhorn Rd (which is owned by Kenny Patterson - member name "Skinny" ) But, coming from your direction, the Green River Bait & Grocery would be the closest, as it's only 8mi from the marina.

Pappy, post anything you need help with and I will do all I can. I'm close to the lake and will help setup if needed.
Well, you see Rickie .... that's the problem. Only a few people will be there the day before (or after) and there isn't really all that much time during the day of .... unless these "seminars" could be held outside at the picnic shelter or the parking lot just below it.
I'm going to be in contact with Chucky in the next couple of days, and we will discuss all these things. I will let everyone know what the plan is, for now, later this week.
