Good to see a report from Tville. Good job! Did y'all catch many dinks?
Got to to ramp at 8:00 only one other rig in the parking lot. Water temperature was 47° and was a little on the muddy side. It cleared up once you got above horseshoe bend to a nice green color.
The weather man lied when they said wind up to 10 mph. It had to be blowing at least 15 when we launched and it blew 25 most of the time.
By the time we loaded up I felt like I had been in a fight and lost. It was one of them days that you had to be on the trolling motor all the time.
We ended up with 12 keepers the biggest was 11" all the rest was right around 10". The fish seemed to be a little more spread out then they have been. Fish was 6-10 in 12-16 fow. Color did not seem to matter but they wanted it slow.

The secret to fishing? Fish where the fish are.
Yes, if I had to guess how many I would say 50 or 60. I think if I could have fished where I wanted to we would have done better on some bigger fish.

We've been catching alotta 7"-8" fish too. Looks like Tville is in good shape for the next couple of years.

You said, they wanted it slow, as in casting, trolling or what. Just trying to learn.
I was casting a 1/16 jig with an curly tail grub. Letting it sink for a count of at least 6. Most of the time it had chartreuse tail on the grub.

I was there too with the same results. A handful of good fish, with a limit of eaters. Wind dictated where I fished. Did notice the fish moving out of the creeks where they have been holding for some time.
Thanks for the reply.
hey guys im from ky, in al now, used to fish taylorsville at least 2-3 week for 8-10 years. i found a ledge there, front of boat would be in 18 foot and back would be in 46 foot and you could tie to trees at front and back. if you could post a map i can show you where it is, plus another good spot i saw years ago will deer hunting . they lowered the water 20 foot and i watched the state set up about a 100 ceaders in there. it was around a deep hole that looked like an old pond before impoundment.
