I sold a litter of Black Lab pups back this summer, one of the buyers wanted to train his pup to find sheds and to track deer. He says it's going well and sent me this picture the other day. Pup is 5 months old and tracked its first deer, and had fun doing so. It's amazing what you can train dogs to do.

Thought y'all might wanna know that Josie made it thru her surgery really well. She's back to acting normal and chewing everything in sight. 😊

Two weeks of limited activity and she will be back to training. My wife trained her to sit before she will be allowed to eat and potty training is to the point where she won't go potty in her cage at all. She will whine at the front door wanting out to use the bathroom most times but still has a few accidents around the house.

She will be 10 weeks old this Tuesday. I'm beginning to remember why I bought another GSP. She is so smart. We love her. 💖

Thought I would post an update on Josie. She's now 4 months old and doin great. Just took her on a 2 mile fencerow walk and I think both of us are ready for warmer weather already. Can't wait to take her out on the boat when she calms down a little!

Good looking dog! I have a britney spaniel mixed with german shorthair pointer. I named her "cricket". The name was perfect for her! And its very funny when I take her to local nursing homes. The residents with dementia never can figure it out. They ask..."Whats her name?" I say "Cricket"...They say...."Thats not a cricket....thats a dog. What is her name?" hahaahahahahaha and I tell em again "Cricket". And the game just goes on and on and on.
