I see mostly divers on both lakes during the winter. Usually when it's cold enough for good duck hunting I'm inside where it's warm.
Hey not lookin for any secret spot or anything like that. Just got the boat done and lookin to start huntin western part of the state. I live in the central. Just curious what kinda bird numbers are seen. More divers or puddle ducks. What kinda pressure they see on each lake. I like Barkley for fishin but I'm open to hunt either. Any help greatly appreciated.

Mainly divers. If it gets cold enough where ponds and watersheds freeze puddle ducks will go to the lakes. It seems Barkley holds more ducks just because there are more islands and twists to break the wind. Barkley holds a draw though which patrons draw "pins" to mark blind spots. KY is open to hunt anywhere.
