    Smile Capt Doug

I went to the Fall camp last year and won a fishing trip with Doug. I was able to talk my daughter out of my keeping my grandson for a couple of days. We went on a guided trip yesterday. He caught a lot of the fish, 22 all together. He was on the back with 4 rods by himself and with Doug instructing him he had a wonderful time. By the way he is 8 years old. We totally enjoyed ourselves. I sat on the front of the boat and observed. I really appreciate the patience and tips from Doug.

    Thanks,

There is nothing better than fishing with a kid, especially a grand kid. Congratulations!

Great pics after your trip. He looks so proud of his cooler full of slabs. That's what it's all about.

Thanks for the kind words, Don. There are trips that feel like work, there are some that feel like the whole world is trying to make things harder on you, and there are those that feel like it all comes together to make things great. Yesterday was the latter. I had a ball with the both of you but don't blame me if we have created a monster when it comes to fishing, especially pulling cranks.

You and your family should be proud to have raised such as great young man who is nothing short of a total pleasure to fish with. He is a listener, a quick study, and will be a lifelong fishing buddy. It was an honor to have been able to spend the day with both of you..

I do know we have to do some talking about airbrushes and crankbait paints. I think you're going to be needing plenty of back-ups. Especially a certain farm implement hue.

We had a ball. He ready to go again now. We will paint some in his favorite color this fall and spend some days next summer pulling them. For me it was a perfect day. Maybe someone can straighten out the pictures. Time to leave to take him back home.

    Thanks again,
