    Exclamation Taylorsville Crappie Trip

    Carl & I went today .... fought the 15mph wind (yeah right, 15mph ... more like 30mph )

Caught about 20 ... brought home 6 eaters. Over half the throwbacks would have measured (touched the line), but I don't keep T-ville Crappie unless they are obviously over 9.5"

Mixed bag of Blacks & Whites.

    Water temp @ 75-76deg & typical clear/green in color.

Bite was good until about Noon, then tapered off significantly. Most all fish caught were over shaded blowdowns ... pink Roadrunner, Slabanator Shad in "cosmic blast" (for me) and several color combos on a weedless jighead & Roadrunner jighead (for Carl).

I probably could have caught more if I didn't have to cast over my shoulder half the time, just to keep the boat under control & not let the wind blow us right on top of where we wanted to fish

Wouldn't have been worthy of a Home Page Article, even with pics
