I left work early and got on the water around 1:00. No perceptible current whatsoever with a large scum line on the main lake. Bait was hard to find but the crank spread would pick one off here and there. Only one small fish, the rest were 10.5"-12". A front rapidly moved through with wind gusts from the north exceeding 25mph so I stopped fishing at 3:30 to tow a stranded family in a disabled fish n ski to Moors marina in 2' waves. It was a long and wet ride back to the truck at KDM but got there in one piece and have fish on ice. Lost my net when I took a big wave over the bow somewhere south of Sledd Creek so I'll be driving to Grizzly Jig tomorrow morning to pick up one before the shindig. Just another day on the lake.

Appreciate you helping them out and glad all were safe. Been on both ends of that towing thing.

Much appreciated Mark. My aluminum Triton is as stable as can be but the low bow deadrise makes the ride wet when quartering into waves with wind in your face. I felt bad for the family because they'd been fighting a losing battle against wind and waves with their 12v Power Drive that was on its last leg. If you spend enough time on the water your card gets pulled eventually to need a tow back.

Yep, I know. Thanks to Dean and Chris this past spring for baling me out of a jam.
About a month ago, I launched around lunch time, and just started scanning and got flagged down. Family in distress, pulled them to the closest marina.

Way to go Adam. If you need a net, I have a brand new one that I bought for a door prize for the shindig that you can run by my house and get or I can drop it off at the shop. I'll be on the lake the next 3 days. Let me know. It's an EGO reach extension. I can order one from EGO and get it here before the shindig to replace that one.
