    Indeed they do, KiK !!

I heard reports of 2lb fish, years ago (on this forum). And I saw a picture of a Redear of around the same size, caught by the gentleman that used to run the store, at the top of the hill going down to the ramp next to the dam.

I believe that if the Shad had been totally eradicated, along with all the other species of Sunfish (except the Bluegill & Redear), fish of this size would be the norm ... and possibly the norm for the last 10yrs ... barring any other species of fish "planted" by any well meaning ignoramus.

From the title, it would appear that it was caught from Cedar Creek Lake. (Lincoln County - between Stanford & Crab Orchard, Ky)

That would be correct...Cedar Creek Lake. I actually got a limit that night and left em biting at 1:30. Got tired of threading minnows and tossed a 'lectric chicken hued BG 2" Baby Shad on a 1/16th round jig head outside the green glow and let it swim back to vertical. It hardly ever made it back to vertical before they thumped it. And this was with some moonlight and hi-vis yellow 4 lb line. Of course this one specimen was the best one and the others were considerably less chunky but size overall did come up over previous night trips. That dew gets heavy bout midnight! I'm thinking I might sneak back down tonight and catch her siblings. Retirement is awful.

About the time I think I might have figured em out, they'll change. :-) I just found a really good tree that seems to produce some bigger fish. As you well know DA, there's a lot of small ones. Tuesday night yielded a couple 14"ers in a total of 24 cleaning fish. Mostly caught using 1/16 jigheads with bodies to match the closest ring of smaller baitfish but I did take minnows...just the ol diehard in me I guess. I figure if I'm going I might as well be well-armed. I been seeing a well lit pontoon on the other side a few times...thought that mighta been you wearing em out.
