    Default Report from GRR

    Fished Green River Res. out of Holmes Bend Saturday. Water was tinted and temp ran in upper 70's. Tried rigging, dipped a few sunken logs and then went to the old tried and true float fishing. Caught a few that way, but only 1 keeper size. All fish we caught were on minnows and right out at the shade line on the water, guess they were trying to stay just out of the light.
    Important part of the trip, I put my "Boss" on a few fish and he had a large time.

    Thanks to those who put this on: Here's my report.

    Not really crappie report since the lack of current is killing the ledge crankbait bite. I did take my wife out Wednesday to try to find some crappie. I didn't find many good crappie but did find the one giant my wife got excited over and pulled it loose on the way to the net. The green carp were a different story. I ended up with a limit of those including this one I caught on an Arkie crankbait;

    Saturday morning I was finally able to hook up with Mark (cajun fryer). We caught a bunch of different fish including small crappie, bass, yellows , gaspergoos and this HOG sauger that Mark caught. After I took this pic I started to put it in the livewell and it proceeded to lay my middle finger on my left hand WIDE OPEN with its gill plate. I always warn folks about them and the yellows/whites. Guess I should have been paying more attention. My boat is still covered in blood from that mistake.
    Great fish anyway, Mark.
