    Default Dandy shellcracker from today

My boy caught this fish, I thought I was going to take it to Doug. We've got a family agreement among my wife, son and I, if we catch a 2lb male cracker, Doug is mounting it. This one just missed at 1lb12oz.

We had a decent mess today, a mix of catfish, bluegill and a couple ears.

Great fish. I have you a spot reserved for that 2 pounder.

I know you do, and we are trying hard to catch that fish! Lol. We fished today and kept 5 catfish, threw back 6 or 8 gills I should've kept and got skunked on the cracker bite.

Lost an anchor in shallow water too. A catfish turned the boat in two complete circles and untied the anchor. I tie a cleat hitch, tried to teach it to my wife to no avail. I've told her to learn how to tie a bowline, two half hitches and this cleat hitch and you won't have trouble on the water.

How much rope was on it? I would think in shallow water you should be able to drag the rope up.

Yeah, that's what we are going to try to do tomorrow. I've got a hook that I think might do the job. If not, I guess I'll jump in, it's only 5 ft or less of water.

There was at least 30ft of line and a decent 15-20lb anchor too.
