    Default KY Lake question

    For those that fish KY lake on a regular basis, do you find bays/creeks on west side of lake or east side of lake to be more productive or equal when crappie fishing during pre spawn and spawn? I have had some nice fishing on the western (Paris Landing) side of lake and looking at some bays to target on the LBL side once weather/wind/work (W3) cooperates, just don't want to be wasting valuable time in non productive water.

    Thanks
    Ron

    I find the major differences between LBL bays and west side bays;

    1- LBL bays will have less stain in the water given an equal amount of rain on both sides. Lots of farmland drains into the west side.

    2-There will usually be less pressure on the LBL bays. Both sides can be covered up with boats but lots of folks who stay on the west side don't want to chance crossing the lake in wind or weather.

    Given those 2 things, they can be equally good or equally bad.

    from what Ive seen the LBL side does not get nearly the pressure...do to the fact a lot of people are worried that if the wind picks up they wont be able to get back to the west side (where the majority of the resorts are). Not as much manmade structure on LBL side but I enjoy the lack of pressure and can usually find some fish.
