Back from Jonathon creek,,,,,
2 days spider rigging with the wife, fishing was slow.
Monday we got 10 or so shorts and 2 keepers, best was this 15.5".
Most all were caught on pink/char SK Joker, or pink curly tail, 13' deep.
Biggest on channel shoulder at about 13'.
Tuesday wind kept us west of the bridge....
More of the same, 12 shorts, 2 keepers, same baits/depth.....
Thursday headed to Cypress bay for 3-4 days....

thanks for the report. were heading to cypress next week. so any tips would be extremely helpful

Sounds like you were there same as us. Monday we caught over 100 crappies but only had 9 keepers and lost 3 others before we could bet them. Tuesday caught 40 and 6 or 7 keepers best color was electric chicken and Cajun cricket for us. Was worried we were doing bad but talking to other people they only had about the same amount of keepers as us and too was catching a bunch of short fish. Maybe next year will be a better ratio. Still had fun down there though other than that wind
