I promised Bubbathump I would post a report, he was kind enough to share some information with me before my trip last Friday. A buddy and myself fished from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m and boy was it a cold one. The temp outside was 36 degrees when we launched, water temp 50-52 degrees. We couldn't find any keeper crappie shallow so around 10 a.m. I decided to jump to a spot I usually fish at night during the dog days of summer. It is deeper water with some big structure. Although the bite was slow there, we managed to take home 14 nice sized crappie. I did keep 3 that were just over 9" but most were 11 to 12". Our biggest was 13", all caught on minnows 15 to 18ft deep. I have pics, just trying to figure out how to post them now.

I did stop and talk to Cox on my way out. Nice meeting your brotha, hope to see you and that big ole War Eagle out on the water again soon.
