    Default Im in sunglasses hell

I need sunglasses.I almost never leave the house without sunglasses.I sure as hell would never go fishin without a pair of sunglasses. My eye doctor says my eyes are sensitive to the sun because i have light blue eyes.Well since im 50 now the last few years ive slowly been losing my close up vision.I always have cheaters with me at home and work.I cant even read my phone without cheaters.I can see like an eagle far away.Reading my Humminbird and tying knots and other close up work in the boat is a real cluster for me now. Juggling the sunglasses and cheater glasses is driving me crazy.Does anyone else have these problems? What are yall wearing?Do those stickers you put on sunglasses work?

Industrial supply stores carry safety glasses with tinting and readers ...I used them for years until my distance sight also deteriated to the point that I need full time glasses ...

samjoe, check out these fit over polorized sunglasses. I got the Sport Everest in Brown. They are vented at the top. Use Promo code CAT-2 to get Buy ONE get ONE FREE. I ordered following my catarac surgery. Love them. 2 for $34.95 can't beat them. Sams club optics sells one for $30

I've worn bi now tri-focals for years with the Transition lenses. When I'm in the boat my glasses provide good protection from the sun but not when I'm running at speed. I have considered some sort of larger protective glasses that will fit over my prescription ones.

The Sport series wrap around and should keep the wind, bugs or flying things out of the eyes. Plus they have vent holes to keep from fogging up, I wore mine a week ago while running a chainsaw cutting up some dead fall. Never fogged up, went with these when my safety glasses started fogging.

Costa del Mar makes several glasses with C-Mates reader lenses. I love them.

I'm using bi-focals with the Transition lenses, and that covers all bases for me.

I'm using the Cocoons that fit over my eyeglasses. I don't feel the flip up or clip ins provide me with enough protection and can't tolerate wearing contacts anymore. I paid about $30 at Bass Pro Shops for the last pair and they've held up well with heavy use in both fresh and saltwater.

I keep my readers around my neck with a holder (just get one you like that has a long strap so it will hang down). then I just wear my shades till I need to see up close for tying knots, etc. put the shades on my cap, bring up the readers, tie my knot, take the readers down, put my shades back on and keep on trucking. works just dandy. been doing it this way for years.
