Good to hear.. I have been happy to see in the media lately that our vets are starting to get the positive recogintion they deserve.
Couldn't find anyone to fish Cumberland yesterday so the wife and I went to Bowling Green to sight see in Cabelas and Gander Mountain. Stopped into Ryans to eat and they were giving Vets a free dinner. They treated us good and the food was great. I am glad that some places honor our Vets like that, it gives me faith in mankind.

Several restaurants here in Lexington have been giving free meals to Vets, for quite some time. Most especially the Golden Corral Buffet restaurants, and they've been doing it for many years. Many other restaurants have jumped aboard and offered select items, up to full meals for free to Vets ... with proof of service.
We used to have a Ryan's ... but, now the closest one is in Richmond. Always did like their food.

good to here vets deserve it
Dave I wasn't aware they included navy in the free meals deals. I have to admit I met a old navy vet last sat and enjoyed talking to him, they call him cane pole. Leave the fish alone down at cumberland and have a good day. Siemper Fi
the free meals.
Dangerous Dave you need to read your marine emblem, I think it says Dept. of the Navy on it. lol The crappie are safe right now, til I get a buck. After this cold front straightens out I am not going to waste the gas on the water
It's good to hear that Ryan's honors our veterans. After talking to several veterans, they'd told me several restaurants around town were also giving them free meals. I'm partial to Ryan's as they give us seniors a good discount and the grub ain't bad neither. Not as good as Mark's cooking mind ya.
Everything is possible. The impossible just takes longer!
