I think I read lake level is 27 feet over summer pool.
28ft over Summer Pool and rising as of 630AM CST this morning.

Anyone know if it's still a muddy mess or if it's settling some?

haven't been down there, but if it's in the parking lot of Possum Ridge then it's going to be muddy and FULL of flotsam that can wreck your boat if your not REAL careful.
this is based on past experiences went there a couple of times in the past and when it's high there's always a lot of trash on the ramp and you almost have to dig your way to the water.

From the looks of this chart, I'd say putting a boat in would be useless. IF, by some stretch of the imagination, the fish have come up with the rising water ... you'd probably be better off walking the bank and fishing around the flooded live trees. IMHO

I still have yet to be down to T-Ville. I have the time Wednesday and this Saturday to go but with the high water conditions and the amount of water they are pulling I am staying put I believe. I might head to Rough or Nolin if anyone has heard anything good there. I'm guessing there is still a lot of debri in the water at T-Ville and long line trolling and debri don't work well together.

By the way my trip to Weiss already filled the freezer. My buddy and I brought back 52 quart size bags of crappie so I have enough for the year for the wife and I. Now I'm catching crappie for fish fry parties. I love fishing around KY but I'm never giving up my Alabama trip. Once I retire you will be able to find me on Weiss the month of March and KY Lake the month of April. After that I will be at home trying to salvage my marriage after being gone for two months.

Hey everybody. Sorry it has taken so long for the report but the water has been in the ridge tops for a long time. Crappiehabits and myself have been to the lake every day since Monday. We have waited until today to report because of a crappie tournament at the lake today, which was a great time with some good guys for an even better cause, as proceeds went to kosair children's hospital. Thumbs up mt. Washington police dept for puttin this event on. Monday through Friday was fished from 6:30 to 10:20 pretty much every day. Water temp Monday was 74 when we put in and 76.6 by the time we were leavin. Didn't take us long to did that the thermocline has already set up and varies from about 12 to 16ft depending on depth. We started tightlinin and finally found fish between 6-8 feet in 18-24 fow. Ten keepers from 30 fish. Tuesday was very similar. Wed we found fish in the same water type pullin cranks. Now Thursday we pulled cranks again but the front had cooled the water to 71. In turn we had to fish deeper in deeper water. Fish caught were 10-12 in 25-45 fow. Friday we tightlined again and fish were found similar to Thursday. All that lead us to Saturdays tourney. Boats were released at 7 am. We had all lines in water by 7:20. Tightlinin the same area as the day before and nothin. 3 keepers by 9:30. We switched to pullin cranks in hope to trigger some reaction bites and success followed. We caught another 18 keepers by 12:20 at which time we stopped to make 1:00 weigh in. Good week of fishin and a fun tourney. And for a bonus we placed 2nd in a 40 boat turn out. Congrats to winners who had three solid 14" fish to tip the scale in their favor. Winning weight 10.14 lbs.

It was a good tournament! I was really surprised at the weight it took to win...we come up alike short on weight but had a great time. I after fishing Friday I figured it would have taken 13lbs plus but I belive 10.9 is what won it!! Congrats to all the winners most everyone weighted in 15 fish limit which was great for this late in the year!!

Thanks for the report KyWarEagle. I too fished Saturday but at night. We caught them in 18-22 fow about 7-9ft deep. Caught 42 fish btwn me and my buddy but only managed 13 over 9". We couldn't find any slabs, our biggest fish was just over 10". I put in at Settlers Trace at 7pm and left at 2am. Not bad for the first time out since February. I wished the water wasn't so high last month, i hate missing spawn!!!

As a side note, I ran 22 noodles/jugs with live and cut shad, only caught 2 very smalll blue catfish. I was shocked, usually do a lot better than that.
