Default A day on Barren River Lake

If you sat in the house today wondering if it was warm enough to go out on the lake and fish, you missed a golden day. This morning I waited till around 10:00am to launch the boat and let the sun warm up enough to melt the frost off the ramp. I hadn't gone very far till I crossed the first channel and a smile grew on my face. I set up my spider rig and zig zagged my way down the channel an put the smack down on the fatties today. I worked back and forth from 19' and up to 14' and fished 12' deep and worked an area of about 100 yards catching large mouth, white bass, yellow bass and crappie. Didn't catch any big hogs but did manage several over 12" and didn't keep any less than 10" and wound up with 18 in the live well and even had help counting them as jigalot helped me count them out in the parking lot. I quit fishing just before 1:00pm as I wanted to get home and clean them before dark. If ya didn't get out, ya missed a goodern.
Everything is possible. The impossible just takes longer!
