Default Carr creek and Buckhorn lake

Anyone fish these two lakes? I've never fished for crappie and I'm dying to both of these lakes are nearby to me. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated!

Wish I could help but I've never been to either of those lakes. Don't know anybody who fishes them unless Grizzly2K1 does.

Sprint61 I fish Dewey and Cave Run. Buckhorn is the tuffest lake I've tried to fish due to the water level fluctuation! Buckhorn can drop or rise several feet in a day's time. I fished it one day and it was at summer pool the next day it had dropped 3 feet. I have never been on Carr Fork. Fishtrap also has nice Crappie but it's the trashiest lake I have ever been on.

Yea buckhorn can be pretty trashy also. I have to drive an extra 30 minutes to put in it's so trashy by the dam they have it shutdown. What's the bite like right now on Dewey and cave run I'm a little over an hour away from each. I'm live in breathitt county where are you grizzly ?

I live in Prestonsburg Floyd County. Haven't been to either since May. I think they have been catching some in the river part of Cave Run. There is a post on here about it.

Not very often! However I'm gonna try to get up with mrdux and learn a lil about cranking. Dewey is a small lake under a 1000 acres with no bay's and it actually has alot of boat traffic so I stay away in the summer! I do most of my fishing bout October to May! I have night fished cave run in the river and done pretty good!
