Two thousand and nine pinky lengths straight out from the one hundred sixty third tree north of the four hundred and twelfth tree to the south.
Heading to blood river Friday morning, hoping for a good trip. Can anyone give a report on where to fish? Commonly I put in at wildcat creek.

What Quackr said but I'd work only one degree north of that.
.... I gather you caught the facetious nature of the replies you received, and took it well. Good for you !! I think you'll fit in well with this group, and once you become "known" and respected by the members ... you'll likely get more helpful answers & directions. Most everyone is willing to help you learn "how" to catch Crappie, but few are going to tell you (& the rest of the wwweb) "where" to catch them. And those that will tell "where", are likely to do so in a PM.
On a more serious note ... take notice of where/how the majority of anglers are fishing the area, and find a similar area to duplicate their methods in (or try your own). Considering how the weather/water conditions have been over the last couple of weeks ... the fish are likely still scattered and/or staging & waiting for conditions to stabilize. The warming trend should spark a little more activity, as well as to start sending them back to more shallow water.

Fished last Friday with my dad and we caught our limit casting jigs 1st time out for the year. Caught fish anywhere from 2' to 17', but the male black and white crappie were already on the banks. Don't get caught up fishing where everyone else is at as 75% of the guys out there are just following others around. Concentrate on shallow water 2' to 6' if casting jigs....... 6' - 10' if spider rigging. They were on flat banks with deep water nearby...... good luck
