pappy i have an ideal about picking ramps..if you have a pole on here there are people that is going to vote for ramp that is not going to fish the tourney so i say

for the first tourney may have to vote on here. then after that let the people that fish the tourney vote on the ramp at next lake after the weigh in is over. that would have people more insensitive to fish a tourney that they was not sure about fishing so they could get a vote on the ramp at there lake.

Considering that our get together events are primarily in the months of April & October ... those months will be excluded for tourney choices.

So, with that in mind, and in order to allow for the tourneys to switch back & forth between the central area lakes & western area lakes ... I propose the following schedule :

    Mar (late) ... Lake Cumberland
    May (early) ... KY/Barkley
June (early) ... Green River Lake
    Sept (late) ... Barren
    Nov (mid) ... Taylorsville

    ... cp

We need to set Kentucky as soon as possible or people who want a room will not be able to get one. I know I will have to get a room 1 night. I work late and then will drive 5 hours to fish all day.

I agree with Slabdaddy. CUSA held their KY Lake spring tourney last year on 3/16 in horrible conditions (20+++ MPH winds) and still had over 10% of the field average almost 1# 3 oz. per fish for their 7 fish limit. Normally a great time to fish. (subject to be changed by wind and water)

    * Also VERY IMPORTANT Turkey season is not even open yet!!
*The only CUSA events going on that month will be Lake Weiss, AL. on the weekend of 3/8 and Lake of Egypt, IL. on 3/16 and Pickwick Wilson, AL. on 3/28

If we can get in a tourney or two early(Cumberland, KY& Barkley) then it should help free up the guys that are wanting to chase turkeys and fish as many of the CUSA events that they can.

    Just a few thoughts................

I will be on the boat after 3/20.

Early to mid March is the best time for KY. If there are gonna be some people traveling a long way their best bet for good fish'n would be then.

Also remember mid Nov. is deer season.

the way i see it is if we are going to worry about every hunting season and every other fish tourney we are never going to get anywhere. something got to give!!!!!!!!!! i think this is about fishing forget about all the hunting seasons. if you cant take 1 day away from hunting then you dont need to worry about fishing tournaments. just the way i see it ............
